  • Process Type: Assemble joint-type transducer

    Assemble the joint-type transducer from individual components - mirror, joint, connector and possibly adapter.

      This is a component, a glass capillary, used in joint-type transducer fabrication, and probably in other transducers as well (TBD).
      It was also used to fabricate glass ball lens by melting the a capillary with a butane torch.

      The lever is a silver coated rod (can be a glass fiber). The coating is applied on the tip. If glass fiber, after the it has been properly cleaved silver is coated on one tip.

        shrinking: assemble the lever with the delivery fiber.

          Metallic mirror applied to the lever of a joint-type transducer. The mirror is applied in house by the optical fiber wet coating process.
          Mirrors might be used in other types of transducers as well.
