During the meeting today we discussed the need of our sponsor to preserve its first to market advantage. SENSORICA is refining its interface with classical organizations and the issue of transparency and openness comes very often. During the meeting today we discussed the need of our sponsor to preserve its first to market advantage. SENSORICA is refining its interface with classical organizations and the issue of transparency and openness comes very often. I explained the problem to Abran, who is going to work on it.
Created documentation formalizing the processes involved in making the whole Sensor Network project selectively open.
Did some numbers crunching and analysis about project burn-rate, comparing the vibration/sound sensor and displacement sensor's actual dev time with predicted dev time, and sent this to the sponsor's project manager.
I also set up the discussion for a request for another small project, about a 2 sensor device.
Brainstormed to create a structure for making Sensor Network project selectively open. Fleshed the ideas out with outlines of tasks and processes that need to be completed. Results were put in a document linked below. Writing of the document were logged under the Documenting Task under the same process.
Updated almost all the inventory of parts
Restructured the inventory spreadsheet.
Cleaned and organized the electronic components at the work station at the same time. It makes work less frustrating and more efficient, finding stuff better and knowing what we have in stock.
Outreach to the Sensorica community regarding the request by our sponsor for selective openness. A lack of opposing arguments through email content is deemed as non-opposition of idea. Garnered some feedback supporting the idea and how it can be implemented.
This is SENSORICA's overhead work, going into Miscellaneous for every feature or task from the sponsor's ERP.
This is about Outreach (find new talent), Orientation (show the new people around), Facilitation (help the new people integrate processes), Coordination (coordinate work among different participants) . Also included is the need for selective transparency as required by our sponsors.
