We used the Chinese photodiode with a MM fiber and ST connector, taking light from a splitter, placed after the PM photonics, in order to see if the fluctuations come from polarization. The experiment was inconclusive, i.e. still measured background signal fluctuations when the transducer is connected to the Mosquito, probably due to feedback into the laser. Aug. 1, 2014 Time Contribution Tibi Work - R&D optics 1.50 HR Worked with Antonio on the Mosquito SS4. We tested the Ne laser. We wanted to see if we can eliminate the noise or inversion of signal. We arrived at the conclusion that the circulator doesn't pass the red laser. So no light was detected at the exit of the photonic system, on the side of the transducer. We tested the software on his computer with the Mosquito and it worked. Mission was accomplished. Thiago is now independent to perform experiments, without needing me anymore. It doesn't work and I don't know why. I also revised all opn processes for the Mosquito SS4 and made some cleanup.

The SS4 seems to be more sensitive than the Chinese mosquito, we believe this is related to the diameter of the core, SM vs MM.
